Residents Report Prowlers Friday Night

Local law enforcement officials were kept busy Friday evening responding to calls regarding possible prowlers.

Around 9:30 p.m. Lawrenceburg Police Officers were summoned to a home on Buffalo Road where the 72-year-old female resident reported someone was attempting to gain access to her home through a rear window.

Officers report they entered the home and secured two rooms, then began to check outside. Although they found no one about, officers report they did find damage to a rear window screen.

Around 11:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to a home on Maple Avenue where a young couple reported someone had been beating upon their front door. The couple told officers that they did not respond to the knocks.

Officers discovered that the perpetrator had apparently moved to the south side of the residence where a satellite dish was broken. Officers speculate that the perpetrator used the broken dish to smash a window. Damages were also found to the front door of the home.
